VLS System Requirement

Overall Requirement

The VLS System combines a video management interface with computer vision features.

Free users have limited access to the full features but can use the basic camera management features.

It is advisable to activate the VLS feed only if your bandwidth can accommodate the dedicated bandwidth required for each camera stream (2Mbps for standard HD)

Streaming Protocol

Currently, VLS operates using the RTSP protocol. While the VLS backend supports various protocols, not all are available by default in the Spatialwork frontend. Users can check the latest implementation status on the Spatialwork roadmap page.

Video: 3GPPP, AVI, M4V, Ogg

Stream protocol: HTTPS, HTTP, HLS, RTSP, RTMP

Hardware Requirement

A standard CCTV camera system typically includes a DVR/VMS to centralize media streams. Most VMS systems can provide an RTSP feed for each CCTV camera.

If users have access to their camera's streaming URL, they can utilize VLS in SpatialWork.

The NVR we have tested includes:

  1. Dahua DSS Pro

  2. DS-7208HUHI-K1 NVR(Hikvision)

VLS will support IP cameras with their own SIM card and dedicated RTSP feed by default.
