The Dynamic Object template handles anything in the scene that is in motion and can be tracked via IoT sensors.
In a warehouse setting, packages are tracked using barcode scanners, indoor sensors based on beacons, AGVs transmit live positions via ROS, and workers share their locations via wearable devices. These data are constantly in motion.
Motion data is crucial in warehouses and factories as it provides valuable insights into the movement and whereabouts of materials, products, and workers. This information serves to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize production processes.
For instance, it aids in identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, monitoring the performance of workers and machines, and tracking the flow of goods throughout the facility, thus aiding in inventory management and production planning. Moreover, motion data plays a vital role in enhancing safety by offering real-time visibility into the movements of individuals and equipment within the workplace.
In Spatialwork, a spatial chart is a static data point where users must assign a position to each chart. Conversely, for motion objects, the position is dynamically inputted. This is how the motion data template operates.
